After the success of my last flaming cupcakes (also from Sprinke bakes ) I had to try these.
FIRST THINGS FIRST
The cupcakes are the easy part. Although there is a recipe at Sprinkle Bakes, just about any chocolate cupcake recipe that you have should do the trick. I wouldn’t waste too much time here at all. The real fun is the flaming strawberries. However, I did use their recipe for the frosting. It’s a butter, sugar cocoa powder mix (the detailed recipe is below) that we have almost all seen before but for some reason this frosting turned out better then I’ve made in the past.
Now for the fun part. I suggest right off the bat to use Bacardi 151 The recipe says anything 80 proof or higher but I tried a few and the Bacardi by far was the easiest to light.
NOW FUN PART
You have to get the biggest strawberries you can find. I always see these huge overpriced Organic strawberries at ShopRite . The ones’ that I always say are for the rich families. Those. Use Those.
You actually have to hollow out the strawberry. I happen to have this set of small condiment spoons, which I never, ever use for anything, that were absolutely prefect for this. Thank God I didn’t re-gift them. Once you get a nice looking hollow cherry, stick it in the frosting and make sure it’s level and secure. Sit it there and bang on the table a few times to make sure it doesn’t move. Any strawberries that tear, eat them and start fro scratch.
Once you have your little Strawberry cups you can now pour in the bicardi and light it. Viola. It looks so good that you will impress yourself.

If you want to blow the doors off of St. Patrick’s Day then this is the right recipe, however this is not for beginners. This is one of those recipes that you have to plan for because it’s time consuming and actually hard work. There are four phases:
I suggest breaking the recipe up because the reduction alone can take as much as 45 minutes. That’s 45 minutes of monitoring everything closely. The good part is that after you make the reduction, you can store that in the fridge for 2 or 3 days.
When it’s said and done the finished product will look great. I’m all four anything that I don’t have to pull out the decorating tips for. Just stick the popcorn to the top and you have caramel, salty, crunchy with a hint of a stout after taste. Oddly Delish!! Hit the Recipe button and BAKE!!

What’s better than a little eggnog with your cupcakes? How about a little bourbon with your eggnog INSIDE your cupcakes. Sprinkle a little cinnamon in that mix and you have a holiday cupcake that will knock everyone’s Christmas stockings off.
I’m going to rate this recipe a medium level of difficulty because there are three pieces: The cupcakes themselves, the bourbon buttercream frosting and the nutmeg garnish. Three chances to get things screwed up. Be careful the batter is a little thin, but it works. It doesn’t work when it’s too thin.
Also, I could not find Cinnamon eggnog as the recipe calls for, but I just dumped cinnamon in the eggnog and rolled with it. The results were still DELISH! Click the Recipe Button and Bake!

As Thanksgiving approaches so is the need to get creative with Sweet Potatoes, and nothing sparks creativity like a shot of Bourbon!
If you are at an adult function then you can really pour in the bourbon, so these are now like little sweet potato bourbon shots! How divine and naughty is that. The recipe is from bakerella and she suggests as well adding more whiskey. She says that if she had to make these over again, she would find a way to just add the bourbon to the vanilla glaze. So it’s now a double – a shot inside and a shot on top.
Warm these up after a meal with some coffee and its Nighty Night! You know what to do….hit the Recipe Button and BAKE!!

There is nothing like a nice Guinness Stout after a hard day of work. Maybe at a happy hour chugging a cold one with a bowl of pretzels. Or how about getting home, kicking off your heels and having a nice hot piece of chocolate cake? Sounds good doesn’t it?
What if you could have both? This is a delightful recipe and if for some reason you don’t want to go with the alcohol there is an alcohol free version.
Don’t be intimidated at all by the pretzel shards…you can take a bag of big pretzel rods and literally cut them length wise with a knife. More than half of them will splinter nicely….eat the rest. These are perfect for game day, Fathers Day or any day! Hit the Recipe Button and Start baking!!
