Oreo Crust Cheesecake Cupcakes with Reese’s Pieces Topping (Recipe)

Could there really be such a creation that is one part cheesecake,  one part Oreo and one part Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup?  Can all three of these whimsical treats play together in the confines of a standard sized cupcake liner?  Yes!!

This recipe can be made as a full cheesecake or you can execute the recipe like Matthew and Olia from Plting Pixels did.  If you choose to make the cupcakes you will have to make the crushed cookie crust first and then scoop it into the cupcake liners.  After that’s complete you  fill the remainder of the liner with the cheesecake mix, bake and your done.

Mini Pancake, Buttermilk Cupcakes Vol. I

Buttermilk Pancake Cupcakes

It’s funny, the creator of this recipe basically found the recipe the same way I did. I saw the pin for the recipe on Pinterest, clicked the link and it sent me nowhere.

Having saw the picture of the pancakes on top of the cupcakes, my mouth began to water and pucker for the buttermilk taste. I now knew they existed. In this day and age, just knowing that something exists provide you a whole new list of words to Google and BOOYAH! (R.I.P. Stuart Scott)

This is why this recipe is referred to as Volume I. I have found a slew of breakfast type recipes that I will be making and sharing one by one and they all involve pancakes….and sometime bacon. This one we are starting with seemed to honestly be the easiest. As I get ready to find some type of cupcakes for my husband’s Super Bowl blowout, I want to ease into some new recipes and this seemed the best way to do it. (more…)

SAMOA CUPCAKES -TASTE AS GOOD AS THEY LOOK!

This is my third recipe for  Samoa cupcakes however this recipe takes things up another notch. If you look closely these are not just sticking Girl Scout cookies on top of a cup cake and sprinkling coconut (although that works too). This is rolling up your sleeves and baking these cupcakes from scratch and without the cookies. This cupcake is your Samoa!

Sometime I cheat and just start o

ff with box cupcakes, but in preparation for Thanksgiving I figured I would tackle this recipe from beginning to end. This will ease me into the upcoming weeks where I will have to be a virtual baking machine.

Reese’s & M&M’s Frankenstein Cupcakes

Reeses-Frankenstein-Cupcakes

How perfect are these for Halloween. Just when you think all of the creative ideas are taken in walks Frankenstein.  The chocolate chips are actually supposed to be Frankenstein’s bolts but they start to get confusing with his eyes.  Try them with and without the bolts.  HINT – They taste the same.  The other tricky part of these cupcakes are the eyes.  In the recipe they use white chocolate melted down topped with M&M’s.  I cheated.  I always have some Wilton candy Eyeballs around he house.  They are edible and take 2 seconds to pop on.  Melting down the chocolate was just a little too much for me.

These are as scarey as they are tasty.  Hit the recipe button and BAKE!!

Did you miss me? I actually missed myself! I figured I would take a few weeks off the blog and it ended up being nearly a month. However being listed on the Top 100 Food Blogs has re-inspired me to keep going. Not to mention having all my recipes all in one place. This is as much for me as it is for you.

Which brings me to this little gem. Chocolate Mint Grasshopper Cupcakes!

This is part of the Girls Scout Series however, it can work with Oreo Cool Mint Cookies. I bet you didn’t even know they existed. That’s what I’m here for.

Your challenge in this recipe will be the Peppermint Ganache. It was my first experience and it turned out to be easier then expected. You just heat up some heavy cream and peppermint extract and chocolate. The recipe does a great job of walking you through.

This is a great recipe to start off the fall season. Hit the Recipe button and Bake
